Adobe's PDF
(Portable Document Format) was developed as a universal way
to communicate via the Web, and to reduce time needed preflight
documents (fonts, graphic links, etc.) for digital printing.
Most popular design and word processing software now offer
extensions that automate the PDF creation process. The Acrobat
Readeris available free from Adobe.

How
to use Acrobat Distiller
1. In your application, select File>Print from the menu.
2. Select "Acrobat Distiller" as the output printer.
3. Click "OK".
4. A dialogue box will appear, prompting you to choose the
folder/filename for the PDF file to
be generated.
5. Select a folder and enter a file name.
6. The file will be generated and saved, then, Acrobat Reader
open showing the newly created file.
Notes for
Using Acrobat Distiller
Some applications such as MS-Word uses printer information
to layout the whole document. Sometimes when you select Acrobat
Distiller as a printer to output, the layout will change,
causing page layout distortion. Make sure to check page layout
after selecting Acrobat Distiller.

Distiller Options
If you want to use PDF file for high quality printing (such
as 600 dpi or higher), it is recommended you first setup the
appropriate Acrobat Distiller options.
